Stained wood cabinets painted a muted green-grey. The layout and counters stayed the same; the colour changed the whole room.

This kitchen had solid cabinet boxes and doors in a dated wood stain. Rather than replacing them, the cabinets were painted a muted green-grey that works with the butcher-block counters, the white tile and the patterned floor.
Drag the slider on the photo to compare the kitchen before and after. For cabinet work like this, the finish only lasts if the surfaces are cleaned, degreased, sanded and primed properly first, which is where most of the time goes.
